LOS ANGELES -- Detectives in the San Fernando Valley are searching for a trio of female robbers who are targeting expensive homes in the Encino Hills.

LAPD officials say the three female suspects attempted to burglarize a home south of Ventura Boulevard in Encino on Friday, April 16 about 10:30 a.m.

They used what detectives are calling the "Knock-Knock Burglar" method. The suspects went to the front door of the home, knocked repeatedly. When they got no answer, they went around to the back of the house and broke a window. They were scared away when an alarm went off.

Police officials say the same burglary crew is also suspected in two other break-ins in the same area.

The three suspects are described as female African Americans in their late twenties. The vehicle used is a possible gray or light colored compact sedan.

Anyone with information regarding these burglaries is encouraged to contact West Valley Burglary Detectives Brownell or Dunn at (818) 374-7730.
